How to Post as Yourself in a FB Group Linked to a Page

If you are like me, you knew how to do this yesterday…and then Facebook changed something!

What happened was a series of frustrating posts as a page that I had to go in and add something silly like, “btw, this is Holly!”

But do not fear, there actually is a pretty simple way to change from what account you post from within your group.

On Mobile – How to Change Who is Posting in a FB Group

When you get to your FB group on mobile, a very small button appears on the bottom right of your screen telling who you are “interacting as”:

How to change how you interact in a fb group on mobile

If you click on that button that says, “Interacting as …” then this will open:

Mobile version of fb group interacting as

Just choose which page {or your profile} you want to interact as and click it.

You will now be interacting as that entity until you switch the settings.

On Desktop — How to Change How You Are Posting in a Facebook Group

In the upper left corner, just under the name of the group, you will find a similar button as on mobile:

Desktop Change Interaction in FB Group

And when you click on it, this opens which looks just like the mobile version:

Change posting as in group on desktop

Again, it will stay that way until you change it.

Will Changes on Mobile be on Desktop Too?

Yes, what seems to happen is that when you make a change as to who you are interacting AS in a FB group, it stays.  So if you changed it on mobile, it still is that way when you go to desktop.
