Have you ever caught yourself thinking “What if I’m not good enough?”
As a blogger, it’s common to have feelings of insecurity and self-doubt. It’s so easy to compare ourselves to other bloggers who have higher page views, bigger audiences, more social media followers, and make more money.
Feeling like you’re not good enough might be typical, but it’s the furthest thing from the truth.
Lies like this can keep us from success…or at minimal, stall it.
So how do you answer the nagging question that most bloggers have at some point in their growth?
What if I’m not good enough?
Here are steps you can take to combat these negative feelings:
Take Control of Your Thoughts
In other words, stop saying you’re not good enough! As Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you’re right.” You will only live up to your expectations of yourself. Be positive!
Your mindset has everything to do with your blogging journey (and your entire life, really…but for now we’re talking about blogging!). Your thoughts about yourself, your capabilities and your talents can either help propel you forward or stop you dead in your tracks. If you think you’re not good enough, you’ll get stuck, frozen in fear and unable to move forward. That’s definitely going to make it harder to grow your blog.
You have to believe in yourself, because if you don’t, no one else will!
Get Educated
Maybe you think you’re not good enough because you have areas that could use some improvement. Welcome to the club! Who doesn’t?
Consider taking a course, reading a book or finding helpful blog posts to help better your understanding about the info you want to learn more about.
There’s always room to learn more, no one knows everything there is to know about every subject. Even the experts! Continuous and consistent learning is one of the best ways to foster growth. Just make sure you don’t get too caught up in learning!
